My name is Amanda Morin and I'm a physiotherapist.
I graduated from the University of Toronto’s Masters of Physical Therapy Program in 2017. Prior to completing my Masters, I graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Science in Honours Kinesiology.
My philosophy is grounded in empowerment. I believe in empowering my patients with knowledge, information and choice throughout their healing journey. Through education, manual therapy, and individually tailored exercise programs, I aim to return my patients to their best physical state while preventing further injury. I also recognize that healing is not only physical, therefore I take a body, mind, and spirit approach while conducting patient assessments and treatments.
WHAT IS PHYSIOTHERAPY
Physiotherapy is evidence based treatment, prevention, and exercise used to address a disease, condition, limitation or physical concern of an individual. This can include, and is not limited to modalities, massage, manual therapy, acupuncture, education and exercise. The goals of physiotherapy are to restore, maintain or prevent loss of strength, function, and mobility with a unique individualized approach. Physiotherapy is appropriate for all ages, and for a wide variety of conditions including musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiorespiratory conditions.
